How to: Clean Your Brushes

It is extremely important for you to wash your brushes!! All those nasty oils, old makeup, and dirt from our face is reapplied daily …yukk

Many people already know this method, I have been using this method for about 2 years now and it works every single time. You will not find a cheaper way to clean your brushes and get great results!ImageImage

You will need:

1. Dishwashing detergent

2. Oil (any type is fine)

3. Bowl to mix the ingredients

Steps:

1. Mix the oil and detergent, around the same amount (depending on how many brushes you are going to wash)

2. Take your brush and mix

3. Wash your brushes under warm water

4. Leave it to dry (you can use a blow dryer to speed up the process)

– Try to dry your brushes upside down so that the water doesn’t wash out the glue that is holding the brush

There are Brush Guards you can purchase online to properly dry your brushes http://www.amazon.com/The-Brush-Guard-Variety-Pack/dp/B0049J7P3S

Hmm interesting use with the oil, I’ve never heard of that. So it doesn’t ruin the brushes and/or make them more oily and leave a residue? I just use dishwashing liquid.

    • Nope, It doesn’t ruin the brushes at all! Just make sure you don’t mix too much oil with the detergent. Try it out and let me know what u think 🙂
